Introducing Mr J

Welcome back, so we have a final scene to film next tuesday, then another week of editing then the trailer/mini short will be launched, i decided to change the intro as the search and reliability of actors was just getting stupid.
So the change was to do it myself, now im no actor but this scene was ok for me, hopefully i pulled of the vision required, you can tell me otherwise, so the character is Mr J.

Mr J is that man that everyone needs to know incase you want something done that you dont want anyone to find out about, he has all the contacts you need and knows whats going down before it goes down.

for some reason i have people asking me how was the shot ( the short film with the guy in the basketball court who stays there from dusk til dawn just to take that one shot, well nothing happen to it, its done, so what now, the shot will now be remade and will be shot over the course of a  year so look out for that late 2014 or early 2015

So were finally there, just 2 more hurdles to cross, one being that everyone turns up and 2 well lets just leave that open as anything can happen,  so before anything I have to give thanks to my WWE,WWF cagefighting brother Mr Damien Swaby for coming through and getting that location on lock.
I have a wonderful cast ready to rock hopefully i can capture my vision and have something for you.

shit man, yep its been a minute since ive been here, were getting ready to shoot this trailer on the 26th oct in chinatown london, so busy busy getting crew and cast altogether, on top of day to day runnings as well i barely have enough time to sleep. so thats why you havent heard from me,

ok so your on a budget for whatever project your doing, money is like god so your very careful, you cant indulge in fine dining and you've tapped out your relatives kitchen, so whats next.
right, take ya punk ass to the shop get you some eggs and flour and get cracking.

How to Make Egg Noodles

• 3 cups of Flour
• 4 Large Eggs
• Pinch of Salt

In a large bowl put 2-3 cups of flour. Clear a small hole in the middle to make a cone-shaped well. This will make it easy to mix the wet ingredients into the dough.

Add a pinch of salt to the flour.

Crack 2 eggs into the cone-shaped well.

Take a spoon and mix thoroughly, but not aggressively. If you don't mind getting sticky, clean hands can mix the dough even more effectively.

You'll know the dough is ready when it comes to the texture of wet Play-Doh^TM. You should then wrap it in plastic and let it set for 20 minutes, so that the gluten can relax. This will make it easier for you to work.

Put some flour on your counter. This will keep the noodle dough from sticking to your work surface.

Take the dough out of the bowl. Roll out the dough with a rolling pin, working from the middle out, then from the middle in.

When the dough is about a quarter of an inch thick, cut the dough into strips with a pizza cutter or a large knife.

Cook the noodles in boiling water or chicken broth until they

float.

its 22:22 sitting at my desk getting ready for another adventerous night, so lets chat, I know its usually updates and shit, and if you back track you see i'm doing all kinds of shit to, (this is only a fraction of what i do on a day to day) so whats my business (non of your business.lol) ok that was rude but eh some secrects have to be kept eh, cant have you wondering around in my mind think you know shit. lets just say I have companies and investments and make enough not to worry about to much shit, nope i'm not rich and no where near it.
so now your thinking oh companies huh, yeah dont worry yourself. with all the things i post up its all about creativity and oportunities, i like to work with like minded people where we can all come together and make something potential epic if not just creative thats why you might see the name Damien Swaby, its because he is on the same format, were all trying to make something from the little we have so I know if one gets a little peak around the door we extend the favour, thats how we work.

at the moment i'm loving twitter, interacting with a lot of indiefilm buffs, promise you thins, if i ever get a break i'm flying out and meeting everyone I converse with, thats a must,
so Indiefilm, lets break it down, as its been a controversal topic among us broke people, one name. Spike Lee. Mr Spike Lee is now on kickstarter, not he cant but it kind of takes the fucking piss when a multimillionaire has to ask members of the public for help in making a film, ok the only statement that made sense from his campaign is that he will be providing jobs etc, but really! he could provide the jobs anyway, id even work for free given the experience you would get. anyway If Vin Diesel can use his own money and put up his house on the line to make Riddick 3 then why cant spike lee.
you cant be Hollywood and call yourself Indiefilm. no fucking way.

Outstanding projects

ok this week has been a mad one, i've been helping my mum to move house, moving a studio from location A to B (still not set up) running 2 companies solo, and trying to get locations to shoot a film, so who want s to fucking trade eh? lol.
so what needs to be started by the end of 2013

Return of the Armada mixtape is completed just needs artwork on sponsor payment,
Diagoro soundtrack to start (so far pre production has taken place)
film trailer for Diagoro - get locations
work on official album for 2015 (WORKING PROGRESS SINCE 2005)
its choppy but slowly getting there, theres 101 things on my plate so staying abreast of this is a 24 hour thing as changes are at a seconds notice. these are the main projects with helping others with there projects and sealing investments and contracts for the business.
thank god for my BBm and iphone i'd be broke without them.

2014 is just around the corner, believe it or not, so I have some music update news for you.

Storyline

When Anika daughter of the Shimazu clan fell in love with the youngest son Kitano of the Tokugawa clan things could not have turned out for the best as the two clans have been battling for the control of Chinatown for years. A unity among the clans was to form until Kitano's  brother Hatsuko decides to take matters into his own hands as he believes the fate of his clan will be seen as weak.

Hatsuko murders his own brother and decides to take ultimate power;  Hatsuko poses as a Shimazu clan general and hires a Ronin (assassin) Diagoro to kill his father so that he will now gain the ultimate power over china town, Hatsuko. Diagoro puts all the pieces of the conspiracy together and aims to kill Hatsuko and set things straight.

What We Need

(1) Pre Production Planning (Meetings, rehearsals with the cast & choreography)

NEW BOOK OF WORKS

ok so if you have been paying attention and your following on twitter@NBSfilms then you will see that I have put out a new book of works, what the works are, are 700+ pages of shorts films that i have written over the past years, the book isnt for sale, im not that stupid, what it does is that it enables me to have all my works with me at all times, I have them on USB etc but this is more practical.
bet your wondering why the F**k am i even telling you, need to know basis friend.
So whats new in the world of #indiefilm? well Mr D Swaby is working very hard, banging out films like its in fashion, me? I'm working on something special, unlike before where i was just filming everything i thought or wrote I am now applying a more structured approach, hence the book, I dont need to write anything else, I need to film, but to film the right script.
always the challenge as we dont really know what the right script or formula is, not all formulas are right for everyone hense finding your style etc.
I'm very passionate about this thats why i am not going to rush any process anymore, music,filming or even my own company which launches 2013 (summer)
be a person of many tallents but of one skill set thats the TOTN

Ok I've been away from the blog scene for a minute now so lets do a little catchup and get back to speed. First if all thanks for downloading the 38special mixtape. If you have missed out its going to drop again. With the new secrets of war mixtape which I've just finished. It's a little different and not a long as my usual 20 tracks etc this one is only 10 but the level is good. There is a tribute to Derek B who sadly passed away at the age of 44. Also a different kind of flavour for you guys. 

Sadly I won't be doing any more mixtapes for a while as I don't have the time these days. Everything is taking a new direction. This isn't to say I'm completely gone, I def have to give u something. I mean come on now. 

So look out for the 2 mixtapes. And download and share the love

NBS films is working hard however you would never know if you were looking for our work.  I've been writing like its my job, trying to get everything into perspective, so I met up with my uncle who has given me a piece of clarity and a really good idea for a next production. 

Funding has always been an issue with indiefilm an hopefully ill be sealing a deal with a bit of funding to film which I will flip and make some money of distribution. (The plan) first I have to pick the right script. And create the right trailer. So first the research will take place and once I get the cheque I will organise a separate meeting To start the project.

So that's filming sorted

so what's next. Just to continue from the top section I'm stepping away from the music for a while and launching a company. Sorry but I'm unable to give details at the moment. Everything is in place. I'm just waiting on my start up loan money and then I'm off. It will take me 2 weeks to a month to launch an all the hours of the day an night will be consumed by making this work. So wish me luck stay posted as I will blog as and when.

This is the hardest thing I've done.

There is no exaggeration on the dvd either.

Most memorable event was the mud mile. That's one dangerous event.

By the 10th mile I had pulled all the muscles in my legs with 4 obstacles to go.

Ok it's been a while and one a month isn't really good enough I guess. But you know when I come I give you that good stuff. So what's been happening? Well lets break this down. 

Although Filming has been a disaster least not to say the writing has been productive I've just finished a compilation books of some of my scripts. Shorts and features, volume one adds up 500 pages. Hopefully volume two will get there to. Currently on 100 pages the reason behind it was just to keep a copy of all the scripts. Hopefully one day I can get to film more work it's really frustrating esp when 50 percent of your team are ready and it's just that one that says they can't and you have to hunt around again. So that's the filming or should I say that's not the filming.

Music wise were just recording the secrets of war mixtape which will be the last one for a while as we're concentrating on more production work. Also I'm abut pissed of with the mixtape host who accidentally deleted all my mixtapes so what were going to do is just compile the best of all four mixtapes and put that out for you to download for FREE so look out for that in June with the mixtape not far behind.

Other things in the pipeline. Look out for a new online magazine called Reign of which I'm involved with. It's started up by my cousin and to be honest I'm just her advisor it getting the project off the ground. The magazine is very strong in design, articles and overall presentation and I don't think you will be disappointed in the outcome so look out for Reign. Ill give you the heads up before we launch.

Ok last of all les chat about the state of HipHop

Cos it's in a mess. I'm not feeling a lot of these new artists. There is. Lot of pretentious crap with no content or direction even with r&b the concepts are the same. Bitches blunts bottles and money. All very boring. It's ok for a one track but not everytime you open your mouth.

Sorry If you have missed me.

Here is the update to date, you have to bear with me. So far I've had my teeth kicked in from all directions 

My casting crew (not all if them) had let me down. Last minute.com people. Not only myself but my Comrade Mr Swaby to. So we're both in the same boat. I haven't been as enthusiastic on the music side. No promotions of the latest mixtape. I guess everything is catching up on me. I've been feeling runned down. I'm hoping to get back into things by June. 

Currently I'm taking it easy and just writing. Working on a script called Maria (it's a Spanish script) the story is about a mafia don who gets taken out by his frustrated nephew but not before the don befriends a girl called Maria, Maria looks after her mother who is dying of cancer, her father died when she was young. The two worlds meet when a hit on the don goes wrong,  so that's the story, currently on page 40 but I'm takin it easy, just want to get my health back,

On the music front. I will get back to making some new music. What I do with it remains to be seen. If I told you how many beats I have I don't think you would believe me.  For each mixtape (12-20 tracks) I would do around 50+ beats so the rest just get filed, so there are a lot of tracks just chilling. There is a plan for them. Sort of lol.  So that's the up date. Ill try not to leave it so long

Memoirs Of A Don- been there done that, know shit you wouldnt even dream of, with all the pressures in this world its to much for one man to take, sometimes you have to cleanse the soul to help you stay on that path to greatness. somethings you say might and could get you killed depending on the information you know, Memoirs of a don is the last words of EL. just in case.

so secrects of war?- if they want it they will get it, we dont throw out words we cant back up, EL is a soldier, he really doesnt give a fuck about his life, he would rather die knowing he done good in the world than live the life of fraud.

Welcome back

It's been a crazy week. I've had to cancel a lot of work to concentrate on doing some music for a German record label. So I've cleared my schedule and will be in the studio in the morning. Cup of coffee in hand. Hopefully I can get the job done in one go. Having to create a Amy winehouse/Adele sound. So it's a challenge so I'm on it. 

The sound is up tempo similar to the Rehab track. But obviously I'd have to put my twist on it. Can't thug it out this time. But I will prob change the drums once it's done for a thugged out version. 

So on that note that's what's up.

my fav track is Rugged and the return, the history of rugged is quite funny, see the chorus was made up by EMC when i was about 15 or 16 but we never did the track, and its only in 2013 (12 years after) the track is complete. As for The Return thats set for todays times on past events RIP alliyah and 2pac (thats a hint)

Moving forward i'm happy to let you know that we now have a full crew for the short film the guardian Angel, shoot is on 13th April 2013.

Music wise I have started the production for next years mixtape, like i said i want to try and do one per year the unconfirmed title is Secrects Of War Vol 1 i have got 3 tracks completed so far so its still early days,

How's it going ?

I'm going to have something soon for you lot. We have a new DJames mixtapes getting put together on which your going to get from me the track Hail Mary. Yh yh ya welcomes.

Also the project is taking form were just under the half way mark of the 15 track project. I'm hoping to finish of 4 tracks next week.

Feb 16th were hold auditions for the up and coming short Guardian Angel 

And I'm looking at a total revamp of everything. Websites,films,music etc.

Memoirs of a don

Ok it's time to get morbid lol because of the rewrite and somewhat research the concept of the mixtapes has changed. If you recall I did mention that I wrote 22 songs of which none will be used, so to go into depth of the lyrical content is this.

In hip hop / music/ film were all subject to being brainwashed in some form. This is via individuals selling out and conforming to gain wealth fame or whatever the fuck they want. Now I'm a real motherfucker to the point that money can't buy me. I don't live of materialistic objects so fuck it. So what I'm talking about is fuckboy sellouts. Punk motherfucking politicians

And the wicked that people do to enslave your mind and soul 

Yeah it's still gangsta but now you can run in a direction of purity and not have to worry about hidden messages.

YouTube is a world of information some bullshit, the rest you open your mind to and believe what you want it's called freedom of choice. I'm not going to tell you what to look for your curiosity should guide you to that

So back to the title
