The Shot Diary Finale

ok here is the latest, i have finished the shoot for today all the files are saved and just waiting to be converted and edited,
since ive finished i will give you storyline, the film is titled the shot, its about a basketball player who spends all day and night in the basketball court focusing on the the basketball net, he doesnt take a shot (yet) his mind is focused and has put his mindinto gear, he stands in the court for the whole night to day and only then he takes just one shot hoping that he gets it in.

the concept is all about focus and dedication in what you do, we all have it in us only sometimes we dont put our all into it.

so thats the story line, like i said the filming is complete so it shouldnt be long before the preview.

The Shot video diary

Good Morning, ok ive been up since 4am, got my coffee,keys and camera (and props) went out did some shots (filming) nice agles etc etc, i need to film the rest of it mid day and tonight so i thought go home and start converting the files to edit, im using a canon legria FS200, its a smart camera but a fucking pain in the arse because you cant just drag and drop into a video editing software you have to convert the thing first which takes fucking hours, anyway not to bitch on, i have 2 options, finish filming and get all the footage or use my normal camera canon powershot x30 to video as the files dont need converting on it.
i dont fancy gerring up this early again plus the shots i got i couldnt replicate, you never can,i think i will continue how i started, as they say where theres a will theres a dead body (if you dont get that then stop reading).

The Shot

ive just set the alarm clock for 4:14am im of to shoot a few scenes for the new short film titled THE SHOT, the concept is all about dedication and meditation, sounds shit right, lol its not, its a everyday concept we all do it just that others spend more time focusing on it that others, i wont tell you the story i will let you see for yourself once completed, its will be posted on the shooting people site as well as the NBSfilm site, nope no youtube.

2nd script on the way which fits under the genre URBAN HORROR which i was told should be the title i could just call it U.H, anyway the script will be reviled soon, i think you will like it, so far i have 2 feature film scripts written and 4-6 shorts all awaitng, lets just say everything is prepared just incase i get that opportunity, there would be nothing worse that to go into a meeting with just one script and they turn around and say, no i dont like it, what else do you have.
id feel like a proper twat. so thats why i write.

ok of to catch 3 and 1/2 hours sleep before we do this.

Scripted editing

The problem about writing is that you can make a story stretch forever, the birth of a wolf script IS finished, but i did write a middle scene just to clarify why the main character feels a certain way, it makes it clearer to whoever is going to see it i guess, so thats all written up i just have to insert in into the right place,
at the moment im adicted to camera angles, every time i read the script i know exactly how each scene should view like,
at the moment i have 2 features written up and ready to go as well as several short films written down, they will happen, just one at a time, not unless some reader of this blog has some coin that they want t to invest, ok Jose stop dreaming you know life aint like that and you have to do it yourself,
well i'll call it a night as i have a very long run in the morning so as always

NBSFilms was launched in 2010 by a group of movie watching addicts, not knowing about anything technical the first thing we did was to pick up a old video camera and just start filming, eventually we decided that we should actually take this thing seriously and began writing shorts, we put all our savings together and began NBSFilms and managed to shoot 3 short films that received a good reception.

Birth of a Wolf isn’t just another foul mouthed shoot them up gangster film, it has a little more about it,

ABOUT THE STORY

Charles is an aging Hit man, he has been killing people for as long as he can remember, from being in the army to the present day contracts, however there becomes a time when the straw breaks the camel’s back and Charles feels depressed and decides he needs help, not knowing where to turn he finds Mary who is a Physiatrist.

A London Soho based gangsters daughter decides to live the double life of pretending to be daddy’s little angel to a typical party girl who loves to indulge in drink, drugs and guys which ends her in hospital and eventually dies.

A gangster in this situation will not care who is involved and will blame and kill everyone including the doctor who was treating his daughter, who also happens to be the husband of Mary who witnesses the murder and becomes a witness.

Charles is now the hit man hired to take out Mary his physiatrist and the person he feels is helping him the most.

The Great Giveaway

I was reading an article about producers and what is expected and how every tom dick and harry now class themselves as a producer just because they can string together a few loops, PS i dont use loops in my productions, not to say that i wont ever but to the present date i see it as a no no.
The article was written by one of the greatest, Quincey Jones on which he asked the question to producers, what is your selling point, on which no one could answer, the second question was what seperates you from other producers. again this question could not be answered.
The problem these days is that a lot of these mickey mouse gimmic fruit loopers class themselves as producers, production is more than stringing sounds together. and i fucking hate plastic producers,
it seems the craft of musician has been taken away from the art, as a producer myself i will strongly encourage you to learn a instrument (triangle doesnt count).
My defenition of a producer is this
- to build with the artist,
- to compliment what the artist is doing
- to guide the artist through the production you have created

the producer has to be able to, engineer, rewrite reproduce, adapt, motivate, develop, put in 100% until the job is done.

drop n drag and giving out a beat is NOT a producer.

dime a dozen there are a lot of fantastic producers trying to sell you beats, lease beats etc, tell you what FUCK  them off, a producer trying to get there will give you the beat for free as long as your going to do something productive with it, the producer will network and build with like minded people, hence my new approach, dont get me wrong i do give material away for free thats not a problem, i also make money via people who hire me for specific productions, if i see your working hard towards the same goal i dont mind giving it to you. so now i conclude.

Writers Competition

The competition i just entered was titled 50 kisses, you might of heard of it, anyway what it is, is that you have to write a 2 page script (yeah 2 page) around the theme of valentines day and it has to include a kiss.
well i did write and enter something, isent a copy to 2 people just as a here you go have a look thing, and they seemed to like it, so yeah cool.

Not many chances come across your path in this life time, its usually because those people that have made it are fed up of the leaches who come at them when they have made it and just say fucking ill just keep myself to myself, this is undersatndable until you find that rare person who is willing to say "you know what i'll take a listen to what you have to say"
i hope that when i get to that stage of my life i will be able to say the same thing and be in a position to help others (more than i do now)
Basically i have been given a link to sed a certain person 3-5 tracks, now within my archive i have 3000+ and counting so being picky is a nightmare, they are all different flavours , so i sent 4 of my personal favourate that i have never let anyone hear before.
If it works out, fantastic if not i will still be pleased to of had the opportunity and you never know with music, something you do today might be the thing of the future, not everything is right now.

Concept of an Album

Dont get me wrong, i'd love to do a album right now, but i dont feel its ready, i dont have what i need in place to devote my time to a album, EMC says i need total lock down to set it of, at the moment everyday im on a time schedule, hence why through the night im a vampire, for now, ill keep dropping mixtapes and tracks,
maybe one day it will happen , if it dont there aint no love lost, i have recorded hundreds of songs and have beats that havent hit speakers yet. so when i do things like that i know theres still time.
I'm a man that knows his limits and expectations, im nevery pressured as the only person i battle is me, so yeah thats the scoop.

Just Another Night

stuffing my face with chocolates and coffee (nothing new) the tweeking of the script is coming on nicely, so i'm pleased with that, so now all i have to do is win the lotto, make the film then retire (or take a year off) but enough of the dreaming there is work to be done.

PS im still waitng for some freestlye videos, i think my comrades in Russia should send me some fire, fuck that i want a worldwide collab freestyle friday, that would be epic shit.

Whats Good

At the moment, were just chilling, writing and trying to do something big, but like everything a boss has to do ya have to do it you self, this way you will never owe anyone, yeah yeah soame old script just a new actor, so tonight is night numbe one of writing , the good thing about writing is its piss easy if you have already planned out the scripted, (of which i have) all it is now is dialogue.
Ive currently been sick to the point where i have lost my voice (to some that just means peace and quiet for a few days) im not that bad? maybe i am, but im slowly coming back to myself, also been in convo's with EMC and have come up with the next mixtapes concept which. i wont give you the title but the concept will be similar to 2pacs 2nd album strictly for my Niggaz. if you have that album listen to it again and prepare for a storm, one of the tracks i have already produced has a 2 pac sample that not many people have heard, its a rare accapella i have and i decided to use it in a sample,
its the first track produced ready for next year. i think your going to love it.
