Development from the short film

We have just started to work on the feature veersion of Birth Of A Wolf, the short film version is completed and is totally diffent from the feature,(FYI)
i'm writing it scene at a time, then visualising the shot, then re-writing it. im trying to avoid silly mistakes and going back and forth.
its a 16 man cast with extras for 2 of the scenes. once its finished i hope to have the finsnce ready and intend to shoot it in 7 days and nights. editing and music score will be a seperate task, all i want to do is finish the script to a 99% standard, i say 99% because there are always last minute hick ups.
i have a tight film crew ready, finace will be the green light.
I strongly believe that this film will be good, its not just violence or another british semi gangster film, there are a few messages you can take away with you.

The Masterpiece

not going to promise but there might be another mixtape sooner than expected, i have seem to inspire a few of my friends who are all artists, they love the 44 Inch Chest, but i told them that the next mixtape wont be til next year, but i will be puting some tracks together (unreleased) and save them, rather doing what i did last time.
I have already thought of the concept and mixtape title (2 to chose from) at the moment thought the focus is getting the film fest of the ground, without the submissions theres no show, point blank, i also hink that because of the sundance film festival going on this has had a impact on us, the contingency is there but i dont want to do that yet.

Well the ventures are taking form and all i can see is good things to come from this, it wasn't like we wasn't doing this anyway its just now set in stone and more definitive,
I'm not trying to be arrogant but i would like to say this, whatever your dream or desires you can do whatever your heart desires, if its a business or a hobby you love doing, which in my case that is how it all started, i was just a young guy freestyling on the street at the age of 16 down in Ladbroke grove with EMC hustling, trying to make some money and telling my story through rhymes, it was a love as it is for all people that make music, you take what you have and mould it, it has taken me years to be happy with my style aas i tweek it all the time.
so what i'm say is whatever your passion keep at it and mould it, there is no such thing as failure as long as you still love what your doing.
dont expect things to workout perfect straight away, the road is long so enjoy the journey and gather all the experience.

OK you will be pleased to know that 2morrow the studio is booked for the final mix down, 26(28) trarcks of that gangsta shit yu love, free to download etc etc.
the plan was to have it ready for you by 25th April, but it should be before that, providing all goes well.
Also recieved my new camera today, so ive been experimenting on some shots etc, its a canon sx30is (dont ask) yep it costs a packet but i will make it work its arse of and make the money back then i will sell it and get the one i want.

I was up at 6:30 this morning, by 8am i had started recording for 4 hours straight, then mixed down and burned to disk, all i need to do is insert the interludes and were good to go

Its Funny How things Turn Out

Recently ive been networking more than often, not that i have gone out of my way to but i have connected with a various of people from America to Russia to china, worldwide and the great thing about it is that me are all on the same page, even with similar interests, so how does it link with tonights title topic.
Well if your new to the blog page and you cant be bothered to read from the start let me tell you about me, not what i do, you can find that out for yourself.

see i'm the type of person that you wouldnt really look at twice or even approach (apparently i have one of those fuck off looks) however if we connect (which is also hard for you as im very fussy) then we will bonified, (ps this isnt a overnight thing either).

theres a few more but you get the jist, at the end of the day im self made, the things that i have done i have done by myself, self financed, etc etc so wheres the pay off you say?
the pay off is every day, firstly waking up knowing that i own everything and dont answer to know one, i can choose weather to hook you up for free or charge, depending on what is going on, but now it seems that slowly i am progressing to a stage where i'm connecting with the right people and some interest is being shown, this is fantastic and the right move will be made at the right time.

so called friends (who really need to look up that word and see if it applies) have also noticed the new moves and now want the ride along, all interested in what project i'm doing whe back when i said join me they were to busy to see the vision, those that stuck by me will reap the rewards because when i make that move i'm taking a few people with me and i think they will be supprised.
see my real friends dont call me everyday, they dont need to, my friends know not to ask me for money, and my friends get on with what they have to get on with, with the knowledge that im here no matter how long time passes and all we do is pick up from where we left off, so thats me in a nut shell.

so here is a taster of the plan.

1. get the main projects out of the way
2. film a short for this year.
3. set up the new website
4. lauch the...................(not gonna tell you yet)
5. finish the feature script and put a budget together.
6. save some money LOL!

1st Review

Ok i had a phone call today from (no name dropping) because i sent him a link to the 44 inch chest (wrong mix version) and we had a discussion around the concept and the style and how it differs from the No Compromise mixtape, and i was expected him to say NAW its not up to par blah blah blah of which listening to that version i would 101% agree.
How fucking ever, to my suprise he liked it, so i told him ok cool you will get the 16 tracks mixed down properly in 2 weeks with an aditional 11 tracks that ive just finished on top.
lease to say someonewas happy -
To conclude i have just gone through those 11 tracks and i have to say i like them hope you do to, when i drop em.

Ok shit kickers lets kick some shit

As you know, I'm going to mixdown the entire projects again, WELL FUCK THAT. im going to just get it laid down again, plus as a bonus there is an additional 11 tracks added (ps there already completed) so i would estimate by the end of April it will be completed, The title will remain the same 44 Inch Chest with the sub title GOD BODY. why make you guys wait for 2 mixtapes when i can roll them into one.

Unfortunately though this will be the only mixtape i drop this year, i will however feature here and there on other mixtapes/albums etc but this will be the only one for the year, reasons being, i have a lot of production work to get on with as well as 2 short films to be completed and finally a project with my uncle which is long overdue.

Right this is whats happening at the moment, as previously stated "i dont have a fucking clue what happen to the final mixdown" everything was off, vocals in one ear, the quantize was off, so what im goingto have to do is mix it again, everything is on the Mac so its easily fixable, in the meantine i have recorded 4 new tracks  for the GodBody Mixtape, and depending on the time scale i will integrate both mixtapes to make one.
either way i will keep you posted.
but i will say this. if you loved No Compromise - 44 Inch Chest will be the Anthem.

Right as you know i uploaded 44 inch chest, however on the playback the levels are completely off so i have had to delete it and have to mix it down again. its long a long process its just when to do it. so if you downloaded it and it sounds shit, thats why, once again sorry.

Without the fight you wouldnt respect the reward

when you look at the bigger picture of things you really dont see what you have until you stop and take a look at yourself.
Had a conversation the other day and they we asking how i was doing etc, i didnt really break it down i just gave bullet points.
ive currently set up a second recording facility so it looks like im expanding, i actually did it to cut down on travelling time even though the travelling in crucial to my creativity as im buried in my iphone typing away.
but just to see how far ive come regarding i own all my equipment, from studio to film.
see the problem with self financing is self financing, you have to hustle up every penny, so it kind of fucks me off when some people expect to come and lay there projects down and dont reach in there pockets and say here hold this. i had this issue not to long ago on which i diplomatically said, no im not available that date but when you lay it down send me a copy to listen to, i have not heard from them yet.
you will find when you make that move, everyone wants to just on it, but no one wants to kickstart anything.
thats why i really couldnt care less because when i make a move i'm gone.
Also something else you might want to take on board. no matter what pay your talent, even if its next to nothing at least its something and when you pay someone for there services they know that they are valued, you give what you can (esp if you both in the same boat) if you take the piss your luck will run out quicker than you think.
the hustle is a long and lonely road and no one want to start from the start again.
but with me, i help where i can but i only work with like minded people, so lets leave it at that as i would like to think anyone reading this is intelligent enough to know what im banging on about,

GodBody Mixtape Diary

whats good, so far for this mixtape, we have 4 Tracks under the belt, were looking to hit about 20+ tracks, i will have to arrange to get down to south london to get with EMC and just spend a day laying vocals. if it happens you know im videoing that as it will be epic.
if i havent told you the story of EMC i'll drop it again since i have time.
ok EMC Real Name Errol McDonald
looks like a cross Ref of Eric Sermon and the Predator, larger than life and a great inspiration of who i am to this day.
EMC use to be signed to Tommy Boy records, school friend to stereo Mc's and has a catalogue of music /video/film connections, i have known EMC for approx 20+ yrs, from the days of portobello market/camden market/peticoatlane market to carnivals and all other ventures, EMC is family to me.
Funny thing is we have never collaborated on a track together but we bounce inspiration of one another, so yeah i will have to organise a trip down to the dirty south.

but you see im the type of guy that shows you what i do so until the 44.I.C mixtape isnt completed (1-2weeks from now) i wont approach him, its just the way i do things, (plus i know how he is, when he hears me he feeds off it and then he will just murder me lol, its always been like that and i love it because it makes me come better and harder to the point that he can say "ok, need a bit of time on this one, but ill be back".

Also regarding filming, the impossible run will be filmed at the end of April Featuring Actor Damien Swaby.
